Just read, that "Coastal Living" magazine has profiled 15 of the "happiest" seaside towns in the country. I was "happy" to read that Chatham, where we live, was among them. It is a magical New England village, surrounded by gorgeous beaches and panoramic water views. The scenery is very conductive to feeling good.

I've visited a number of the other towns chosen...Jupiter Island and Naples, FL...Half Moon Bay, Tiburon, Carmel and Sausalito CA, Ogunquit, ME and Stonington, CT. My favorite of those is Carmel...But, I know Chatham is where we want to stay...the only thing I'd change is the long winter weather. Other than that, the beauty enlivens the spirit...

Original post blogged on b2evolution.

Woke up remembering a vivid dream...I'd very clearly seen and talked to President Obama...he greated me with his dazzling smile as I was leaving my family home. He was dressed in a suit and I was awe struck to see him there. Yesterday, I'd been reading parts of a "Vanity Fair" story, from a book to be published in June. The author, David Maraniss, writes about Barack's early life and loves in, "Barack Obama: The Story". One of the women he interviewed, described an early love affair and how Barack would spend Sundays lounging around, doing the "NY Times" crossword puzzle, wearing a blue and white sarong. I loved that description...between his great comic timing, sexy singing and cool sensuality, I can see how easily other men could be threatened and jealous of him...especially those members of the "Party of NO".

Original post blogged on b2evolution.

My mother told me about "seeing" a bolt of lightning hitting a ship...the next day she received a message that her best friend, L., had been killed in the "SS Morro Castle" disaster,in 1934,off the coast of NJ. She had asked my mother to accompany her and two other friends on a cruise to Havana. Mom was unable to go...but the other friends did go and survived the fire that spread throughout the ship by running through the flames to a lifeboat deck. L. panicked and jumped overboard, hitting her head on something and drowning. Of the 549 onboard, 251 lost their lives...Mystery surrounds the disaster...the captain died shortly before the fire broke out, some think of a heart attack, some say he was murdered...then, when the fire was discovered, all power went out and complete darkeness engulfed the liner...the majority of lifeboats were filled with crewmembers...terrible confusion had ensued.

When my mother "saw" the images of the lightning bolt hitting the ship, it was from "reading" her teacup. She would be considered a psychic medium, but, never thought of herself in that way. Her intuition was highly attuned throughout her life...she started, at a very early age, interpreting representations in cups and cards and by picking up on a person's energy. She had precognitive dreams throughout her life...she always amazed me with her predictions... Strangely enough, my mother and L. had gone to a psychic before L. took the trip...he told her that "if she went over deep water, she'd never return"...my mother reminded her of this, but, tragically, she paid no attention to it...

Original post blogged on b2evolution.

The Romney campaign is certainly "spinning" the remarks of Democratic strategist, Hilary Rosen. She made comments, the other day, about Mitt Romney getting advice from his wife, Ann, regarding women. She mentioned that Ann wouldn't know the plight of the American working women, since she'd never held a job outside the home. I agree with her...the Romneys have always had the money to hire help while raising their five boys. She never had the stress, pressure and anxiety related to working outside the home...the majority of women are trying to make a "living wage", have to come home and deal with everything involved with raising a family on their own, such as child care, cooking and cleaning. There is no way, in my thinking, that the Republicans can equate Ann Romney's wealthy lifestyle and conservative views with the average woman in this country. Ann Romney is "pushing back", defending her choice to be at home and raise her family...which misses the point of Ms. Rosen's comments...

Mitt Romney has taken a stand against women's rights...condemning birth control and abortion rights, wanting to overturn a national health care system, Planned Parenthood, etc., etc...his wife's appearances to heighten his appeal won't go far with thinking women in this country.

Original post blogged on b2evolution.

I write about my displeasure with the ideals of the GOP, toward women in this country...it saddens and scares me as it reveals such undeniable disrespect for us.

Reading the "Global Post"...their special report on the injustice girls and women of Afghanistan face is horrifying. The US led an offensive in 2001 that led the Taliban to head to Pakistan. Then, the international community rushed into Kabul with the idea of reforming the legal structure of the country, disregarding the one in power. Ten years later, after spending almost a billion dollars, setting up various groups to achieve this, the effort is a failure. Corruption persists, the citizens respect the "white beards", the tribal elders, who have always ruled.

The "Global Post" report states that violence against women has never been higher and, yet, they are denied justice. The "Tribal Courts" are, of course, completely dominated by men...a girl or woman can be bartered as settlement in a dispute between families. The US is funding these courts with $15 million this year...continuing to give power to a system that will never defend the rights of women.

Original post blogged on b2evolution.

The horrors I'm learning about the Republican "War on Women" is increasingly alarming...they're out to destroy our rights to legal abortions and contraceptive coverage that were decided on decades ago.

Today I read that the feminist icon, Gloria Steinem, is in a video produced by President Obama's re-election campaign. She states that women should vote for Obama as this is a "turning point" election...our rights will only be protected if he stays in office.

Everything that he stands for displays his deep respect for the women in his life...from his grandmother, mother, wife and daughters...he's a champion for women.

What kind of sickness has infected the Republican power players, who make the most outrageous statements regarding women???

Original post blogged on b2evolution.

Wow, the more I read about the "Invisible Children" organization promoting the video, "Kony 2012", I gasp with horror. I forced myself to watch the video today, that has been so hyped all over the media this week. I could see how impressionable young people could be sucked into the hype...but, I've read enough about Kony, through the years, to know it's a very odd time to be selling the story to the public. But, then my readings informed me that the co-founder, who suffered a nervous breakdown today, Jason Russell, is an evangelical extremist...Chase Morgan Bank is alleged to have funded the video and other projects with $1 million...they are also invested in the abundant oil reserves in the Lake Albert fields of Uganda. Republican Senator Inhofe, has visited Uganda numerous times...also an evangelical and a member of "The Family" a group of the New Apostolic Reformation, he is highlighed in the "Kony 2012" video. His groups, alledgedly, want to institute Christian governments around the globe, with a special focus on Africa. As if this wasn't enough to make my head spin, the "Invisible Children" group is heavily funded by evangelicals...the large sums of money that are contributed to the group rarely gets to the children they depict as their cause...there is no external auditing committee...much of it, reportedly, ends up in the Cayman Islands, as well as the Ugandan Armies, which, continue to abuse children, through rape and kidnapping...So, I have to surmise that this video is a right wing exploitation of the media and an experiment to see how far it will go with the public...

Original post blogged on b2evolution.
