Fall Fun
October 24th, 2010I'm so grateful I have a close relationship with 3 of my female cousins...one on my father's side of the family and two on my mother's. None of us have sisters...which may help to keep us connected. One of them, M., came to visit this week...we had a great time discussing the family dynamics while having dinner at the Wayside Inn in Chatham and traveling down beautiful, scenic, 6A, the following day, for lunch at the Daniel Webster Inn, in Sandwich. After a trip to North Truro, to the Truro Vineyard, where we bought their smooth, delicious Cranberry Red Wine, we headed to Orleans and the Orleans Inn for lunch, one of the few restaurants with a waterview in the area.
R. and I toured around yesterday and made one of our destinations the Osterville Harbor, where I had studied and worked with Robert Driscoll at his gallery. We took photos of the gorgeous harbor, still filled with boats, then headed to Earthly Delights to pick up some organic snacks and coffee.
The Fall is a perfect time to view the sparkling beauty of Cape Cod, unencumbered by the masses of tourists, who've recently disappeared...
