Went on a little adventure with C, the other day...first to PB Boulangerie and Bistro, in Wellfleet. Had read and heard so many great reviews of the pastries, etc. We ate outside and had lovely little portions of quiche lorraine and split a croissant. The cappuccino was especially good, with a fabulous creamy, thick foam. Then headed to Wellfleet center, and visited a gallery--the Brophy's Fine Art Gallery--a very talented group of artists are exhibiting there, including Judy Harmon, Robert Cardinal and Ronald Tinney. Wellfleet has a number of excellent galleries and has gotten it's title as, "the art gallery town" because of this...After visiting several shops, we drove to the Wellfleet harbor, where the sun was shimmering on the water...a perfect ending to a great visit to this charming, funky seaside village.
